About Us

Hearken Games was founded by Olivier Perrault, with the goal of developing inclusive games that feature diverse casts of characters, motivating players to perform more physical activity, and raising awareness for people with disabilities and disorders such as Autism, ADHD and Bipolar.

Originally from Quebec, Canada, Olivier is a software developer who has interned and worked at various software companies, including Ubisoft, Autodesk Toronto, and IBM. Notably, Olivier worked on the 3D animation software Maya for almost three years as a graphics programmer on the Viewport team. With a childhood that fueled his love for games, he continues to have a burning passion to develop and ship his own title.

At 27, he was diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar II. Olivier feels genuinely grateful for the clarity these discoveries have brought and for the privilege of having access to personalized care. This new understanding has brought both clarity and challenge. It has been a difficult but transformative journey of self‑acceptance, and he has learned to work with his mind’s unique wiring instead of fighting it.

Currently, psychotherapy, medication, and physical activity help him manage his focus, and he is able to channel his energy into something productive and creative. Olivier records his daily runs on his TikTok and YouTube channels under the pseudonym @sweatandsorcery.

At Hearken Games, Olivier will be the main programmer on the game and narrative design for the upcoming title Gym Class Exorcist.
